Dear LORD,
In moments throughout this Kairos course, you reminded me of the past experiences I had when You were trying to catch my attention and preparing me for a life dedicated to You. Thank You for not giving up on me! From Sunday School, youth groups, my wayward college days, my materialistic career days, my parenting deficiencies — You knew that I wanted You to be first in my life, but I wasn’t successful. You used all of my past to turn my life around and mold me into who I am now. You love my children much more than I do, and You will continue to pursue them, just as You pursued me.
You’ve been dropping hints to me how much You love all people. Everyone. Really, truly love them. You have such compassion for the poor and the hurting, and You love all these different cultures (“nations”). There are still so many peoples to reach.
Here in this seemingly insignificant town of Valencia near Dumaguete, You are transforming me. What a blessed journey it has been the past four and a half years! I experienced so much of Your faithfulness. Thank You! Truly, You are the One who finishes the work that You start in our lives.
After almost five years of part-time Bible College, outreach events, and more taming of my stubborn personality, I think I am ready to be a World Christian. With Cy. Lead us where You want us to be, to do what Your Holy Spirit will empower us to do.
Not our will but Yours be done. AMEN.
Much love,
Lynn
