God Is All Good

If God is so good, why does He allow evil to happen? If God is so good, why does God bless those who are evil?

Evil things happen to discourage us, and to cause us to turn away from the One who loves us most. Those who hope to place their trust in the Lord are a threat to the purposes of evil. Besides, Jesus never promised a rosy, challenge-free life in this world. He said the exact opposite — we will face trouble, but we shouldn’t be discouraged because He has overcome the world.

Evil people seem to flourish even more. So we envy them or are astonished that they get away with their awful deeds. Why would the devil attempt to take down those who are working for him? Of course he won’t!

The truth is, God is good to all — the “good” as well as the “bad”. By God’s standard, not one person is “good” anyway. Jesus came into the world to save us from our sinfulness, not to condemn us. That is the goodness of the Lord. God’s grace and mercy extends to all.

I think that generally, people know that God is good, so when bad things happen, the devil wants us to question the goodness of God. He wants God to get the blame. Instead, we should credit the real source of evil to the devil himself and his demons.

Satan introduced evil in this world.
Satan is the father of lies and deception.
Satan adapts and compromises.

God is all good.
God is truth.
God does not change.

John 16:33[Jesus speaking] “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”

Psalm 145:9“The Lord is good to all, And His tender mercies are over all His works.”

John 3:17“For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.”

1 John 1:5“This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all.”
