I wasn’t one of those on social media who reposted the viral slogan, “I stand for Israel.”

The Jews weren’t and aren’t perfect. Israel has had many enemies since their exodus from Egypt, as they fought to claim the land that was promised to them by God — Canaan. When they obeyed God, He blessed them richly, and when they sinned against Him, they suffered the consequences.

Professed Christians rebel against and disobey God every day, yet I will be bold enough to say, “I stand for Christians.” Both Jews and Christians experience persecution and discrimination in this post-modern world.

I stand for Israel because nothing has changed the fact they are God’s Chosen People: “To them were committed the oracles of God” (Romans 3:2b NKJV). People have learned about the One true God because of God’s revelation to Israel, including the promised Messiah.

I stand for Israel because of the genealogy of Jesus Christ. Without Israel, we won’t have Jesus, the Savior of the World.

I cannot stand and support nations that will deliberately attempt to wipe out another nation or race. Hitler tried that with the Jews. The Jews may have been unfaithful, but God remains faithful and will continue to remain faithful to His Chosen People.

I stand with Israel because not even God has given up on the Jews. All have sinned and fall short of God’s standards. Jesus died for the Jews, just as He died for the Gentiles (Romans 3:21-26). No one, I mean NO ONE, can boast that they are better than another.

I stand for Israel because in the last days, they have a very big role to play. From them will rise some (if not all) of the tribulation saints. God’s plans will be fulfilled. Biblical prophecy will be fulfilled.

I stand for Israel because I will not go against God. There’s propaganda circulating on both sides regarding the latest bombings against Gaza and Israel. But this I believe – Israel will not be wiped out off the face of the earth because God said so (Ezekiel 39:21-29).

I pray for Israel and the Jews. I pray for Christians. I pray for the unsaved.

And I will say, “I stand for Israel.”
